Effective 13 September 2026. This is the no-warranty / limitation-of-liability notice for Remix Studio. It follows the usual desktop-software form (as-is license, conspicuous disclaimer, cap at the price paid). It is not legal advice. Mandatory consumer rights that the law does not let us exclude still apply.

Read this before you buy or install

Remix Studio is licensed, not sold. You get a one-time, device-bound license as described in the Terms. By paying, downloading, installing, or using the software, you accept this Disclaimer and the Terms. If you do not accept them, do not pay, install, or use the product.

Your content and third-party platforms

You are solely responsible for footage you import, scripts you generate or edit, music you use, faces and voices in your clips, and anything you publish. Remix Studio does not grant rights to YouTube videos, music, trademarks, people, or other third-party material. Platform bans, copyright claims, demonetisation, or takedowns are your risk, not ours.

If the app talks to YouTube, an AI provider, or any other service, that happens under that provider’s terms, with credentials you supply. We are not those providers and we are not liable for their outages, policy changes, or bills.

Local files and results

Processing runs on your computer. We do not control your hardware, GPU, disk, OS version, or models you install. Output quality varies. Shorts may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unusable. Keep backups. We are not responsible for lost files, overwritten projects, or failed exports.

No warranty

THE SOFTWARE, WEBSITE, LICENSE KEYS, DOWNLOADS, AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITH ALL FAULTS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PARIKSHIT SHARMA AND REMIX STUDIO DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PRODUCT WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR EQUIPMENT, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Some places do not allow implied warranties to be fully disclaimed. In those places, the disclaimer applies to the fullest extent the law allows, and any implied warranty that cannot be excluded lasts only as long as the law requires.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL PARIKSHIT SHARMA, REMIX STUDIO, OR THEIR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, COST OF SUBSTITUTE SOFTWARE, COPYRIGHT OR PLATFORM CLAIMS, OR DAMAGE TO DEVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE, THE WEBSITE, A LICENSE KEY, A PAYMENT, OR THIS NOTICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE PRODUCT OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE AFFECTED LICENSE (THE LISTED PRICE IS $49 USD, OR THE INR AMOUNT ACTUALLY CHARGED AT CHECKOUT). IF YOU PAID NOTHING, THE CAP IS ZERO. THESE LIMITS APPLY TO LIABILITY IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, AND THEY SURVIVE TERMINATION OF THE LICENSE.

Nothing in this notice excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such an exclusion is forbidden, or for fraud.

Payments and downtime

Checkout is processed by Razorpay. Bank declines, payment-gateway failures, and delays are outside our control. Hosting, DNS, and download availability can fail. We are not liable for time the site, API, or a download link is unreachable.

Windows, models, and “coming soon”

Features marked coming soon may ship late or not at all. A Windows build may omit local AI models that exist on Mac. Buy the license for the product as it exists on the day you pay, not for a future promise.

Indemnity

You will defend and hold Parikshit Sharma and Remix Studio harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your YouTube or other accounts, your breach of these terms, or your use of the software in a way the law does not allow.

Governing law

This notice is governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you keep any non-waivable consumer forum rights in your country of residence.
